How often do we chant the mantra, "someday"? Someday I will apply for that position. Someday I will go back to school. Someday I will begin eating healthy. Someday I will call my long lost friends.
It is the belief of fools that someday will arrive. The point of power is in the now; in the ability to live in the moment. If we wait for all circumstances to be "just right," chances are tht we take minimal, if any, action.
Moments are lost amid the clutter of every day life. They become blurred by the activities we invent. It seems like activity has become more important thatn the moments in which they occur. We focus on the quantity of activity we can squeeze into one 24-hour rather than striving ro moment-by-moment quality...
There is power in periodically stopping what you are doing, giving thanks for the moment, and realizing it is this moment that makes up the fabric of your life. The awareness of the power of the moment allows us to become fully in tune with our purpose and power.

STROKE IDENTIFICATION:
During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) she said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes.
They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening
Ingrid's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00 pm Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don't die. they end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.
It only takes a minute to read this...
A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.
RECOGNIZING A STROKE
Thank God for the sense to remember the '3' steps, STR. Read and Learn!
Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.
Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:
S *Ask the individual to SMILE.
T *Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently)
(i.e. It is sunny out today)
R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.
If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency numberimmediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.
New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your Tongue
NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other, that is also an indication of a stroke.
A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.

I'm really excited about the Learning Annex's Internet Marketing Expo Tommorrow in New York. They are going to be talking about the lastest in Social Media and Internet Marketing.
I've got to get up extra early the doors open at 8 am. To top it off, it's the end of Day Light saving time so the clock goes forward an hour. Some of you may wonder how do you remember
which way the clocks goes. It's really simple. Spring Forward and Fall Back. That's what my father taught me.

It was during this time Charlie became the main mentor in my life. Little did I realize how influential and instrumental to my success this man would be. Initially, we didn’t talk about the fact he was my mentor; that aspect of our relationship simply evolved. We met once a month from 1979 to 1998. Each time we met we spoke about the month, a little bit about what we were doing in the office, and a lot about personal success, personal growth, how to sell, and how to help people.
Charlie believed wholeheartedly in goal setting. It was the foundation of much of what created his success. It was one of the greatest insights to achievement Charlie passed on to me.
The goal setting process Charlie shared with me goes beyond a haphazard resolution or one that is simply for amusement; it lays the foundation for success so many people crave.
Today, the process is a part of my success strategy. I wouldn’t dream of not using it. A major aspect of what Charlie shared is that of a yearly review. The process of the yearly review is one that I have grown to anticipate with great excitement. It allows me the opportunity to reflect on what I have accomplished over the previous year and what is possible in the coming year.
